Spent real quality time building a relationship with the horses. Pete and I have been riding as much as the weather has allowed. We have been enjoying some odd weather lately as it seems to want to rain on us like it is Seattle.
After the Parelli Celebration in Reno I was determined to put as much effort as time allows into developing a relationship/partnership with not only Pete, but with all of our horses. So far I think it is working.
Pete seems to enjoy our rides and time together. And I am not sure yet, but I think his cribbing has lessened.
Currently one of our projects around the house is to get it ready for the coming Winter. We have been spreading the first load of DG around filling in the low spots so the horses don't have to swin when the heavy rain and snow comes. We are also planning a track for our four footed friends to enjoy. We got the idea from a great book Paddock Paradise. This book shows how to help your horses enjoy their life in the pasture by replicating natural movement.
